How i ended up getting my thread being alive for days and here is also what should u do.

In youtube did you realised that people have started changing their titles and thumbnails recently?

Well do you want to know why?

Its just a simple trick

When your video stops getting attention you change your title and thumbnail, try making it look better. This way when it gets recommended to people this will attract some people again. So your video will blow up again.

I tried applying the same thing to off topic. I ended up changing my posts title 4 times and it stayed active. In the end i dont even know what happened but the post was a mess.

Anyways i am glad this worked it was a good experiment

I call it forum click bait
Since there are no thembnail like YouTube, you are making the thread name as thumbnail and click baiting others to think it's a new thread, people see it and get disappointed that it's the same thread

After seeing what thread he's talking about changing the title has nothing to do with activity, it's just annoying and people don't even care about OP they've completely derailed.
