osu stable's code is a mess and there are things in there ppy doesn't want to release

osu stable is closed source

ppy might release the code when osu lazer replaces osu stable

osu!stable is not currently licensed under MIT, so no. osu!lazer is a different project and its license doesn't affect osu!stable.

A good mapper is one that maps to the song as a whole.
