If I get this correctly though, I have a simple solution. It wouldn't even require any sorting feature.
Simply all that needs to be done, is to have full cooperation of the mapping community.
Here it is:
Write a tag in your map's tags such as "Partner Wanted", "Guest Difficulty Wanted", or even "Collab Request."
Maybe even an acronym of some sort. But we just have to have the whole community agree upon one. ^,^
What does everyone think about this? And we all have to agree on one word. Or it won't work well. >.>

I think a icon like the kudosu counter has now would do.

This is more likely to be denied, isn't it? I don't see any use for this.
If you want another diff, then say so in the thread. It's not like people wander around looking for diffs to contribute.

- Put your map in Help/WIP.
- Write in the OP you want a difficulty mapped.
- Ask for help in #mod.
