RANKING IN OSU QUESTIONS!!

HEY GUYS!!

Just a couple of quick questions..

1) Is the best way to rank up to play popular songs that are hard? Or just hard songs in general?

2) Lets Hypothetically speak that i think im better than someone who is ranked 10,000+ and i get a higher score on 1 of their top ranks. Will i be ranked higher than them if i Beat their score? (assuming im rank 20,000 or something)

3) If i were to have no life and just get 99% on very easy songs and increase my overall accuracy. Will my rank go up higher by alot?

1) Hard songs in general. Also, getting high accuracy/SS, and full combo will increase the amount of pp given.

2) No.

3) pp is not given per song, it the amount of pp given is weighted by order.

This might help a bit.

1) best way to rank up is regularly and consistently play difficult maps and score highly in them (top #500)

2) nope, but you will get a fairly nice chunk of pp if the score is recent

3) no, easier difficulties are weighted very poorly and award very little pp

i played like 30-40 different songs yesterday (ctb, all 4 star+) and got top 300 on all of them, my pp rank barely increased :(

if very easy means normal~hard then yes @ 3

1. Well, Playing Hard songs in General will give You PP (or not in some case)... If You got Rank in Top #600, But The PlayCount of that Diff is only 1000 (Except If It's A Recently Ranked Map)... It will only give A little PP, but with the Popular Song (Let's just say the PlayCount is 5000+ )... It will give You more PP when You reach Top #600 than the Less PlayCount Map.

2. No, But It will give You A Big Amount of PP *maybe...

3. Well, It will.... If Your Rank #50000 or less than that..... but More than that, I assume You must FC Hard/Insane map as well.
