[resolved] 120+ FPS locking

at the ingame 120 locking selection is useful for streaming but it doesnt give enough frames to remove input lag as it is still noticeable
(anyone that uses a gaming mouse that supports high poll rates knows this)

is there a way to lock osu! to a higher framerate then 120 (considering i get 600+ at full GPU power, i have room to spare)?

(i have been meaning to ask this question for quite a while now)

First close your osu! then
open your "osu!.<windows_username>.cfg" in notepad (You can find it in your osu! folder)
and find(if it doesn't exist- create) this line:

CustomFrameLimit = 400

replace 400 with number of fps that you want to osu! run at (it'll sometimes go higher than that but not too much)

You can limit it more efficiently by leaving the CustomFrameLimit at 120 and playing at Unlimited (during gameplay) then using MSi Afterburner to hardware limit the fps to what you want it to be.
