Pls help me with mapping

So im sitting here 2am and just tryna learn how to make osu beatmaps but when i import a song into the editor it says "pls enter the editor before adding...." and im in the editor so yeah any solutions pls ?

could you tell me more about what you exactly did?

I tried also dragging an audio file to the game whilst still inside the editor and it works just fine.

Drag audio file into game when in song select. You will prob need to press F5 to refresh the listing. After, right click on new map and edit map
