1. This is mapping contest for 7K, an galge song is chosen by me and the 2 BNs.
2. I want to promote the release of Pattern Gallery project which is to help mappers be inspired with good patterns from the community. community/forums/topics/1515239?n=1

Mapping period: April 4, 2022 to May 8, 2022
Judging period: May 9, 2022 to May 17, 2022
Ranking period: May 18 to June or July 2022

Rewards

There will be only 1 winner. Winner will get 2 rewards:

1. Get your map ranked with the 2 BN judges to nominate, but you need get some mods first, you may also accept other participants as GD.
2. 1x high quality dakimakura (50cm x 160cm) about $300 USD worth (cover + pillow) for a character of your choice (pre-order is fine). Will DM winner directly for more details.

You must be at least age of 18 to claim the 2nd reward, if not I will give it to 2nd place. You also agree to provide me with your personal information for shipping purpose. I will not give you cash.

Judging Criteria

Judges:
there are 2 BN to judge + me.
BN 1 has 20 pts, BN 2 has 20 pts, and i have 10 pts, to avoid tie.

Criteria:
1. Creativity 10 pts, the concept of your map, how you choose to represent certain instruments, the aesthetic aspect
2. Playability 10 pts, how well does it actually play, avoid sudden unjustified difficulty spike, the fun factor, can't just look good.

we do not judge consistency, or RC stuff, this is to allow mappers not familiar with ranking to also participate, and small issues can easily be fixed, no need to spend 10h to self mod details.

each judge will judge independently without consulting others, and final score will be combined from 3 judges. Everyone's score will be published later along with feedback from all the judges.

How to Submit

Send me your finished map (.osu file) on Osu PM or discord Dudehacker#5024

Submission Criteria

1. Make a 7 Key single difficulty, between 2.00 stars to 5.99 stars of your choice, try to express yourself to the max without making it too hard for no reason. Keep in mind a map is meant to be enjoyed by everyone, not only yourself.
2. Don't bother with HS, I will do it later. Also don't bother with SB.
3. Put your osu username as the difficulty name, but don't worry I will run a program to replace it with a random hash, so we don't know who made which map when judging.
4. Only 1 submission per person, mapped by you alone.
5. Plagiarism is forbidden.
6. Forbidden to submit map anywhere online before the results are out
7. Only use the map provided by us.

We encourage everyone to participate, even if you never mapped 7K before.
The rules are made in a way so you need minimal time commitment, and we will be fair at judging each participant.

I have no idea who picked the song. Very funny that the staffs didn't even check the metadata before hosting the contest. If this is an April Fool's joke?

not really for 2 reasons.
1. can't associated any person to the map to be fair at judging, and
2. if im right thumb user and ur map is made for left hand its not like i can change to left hand anyways. from what I know people usually tend to try balance spacebar usage so its not too biased towards 1 or the other, haven't really seen any map thats super biased for 1 side.

regarding my discord... its cuz there's a lot of spam on discord lately, if you don't enable that setting u get lots of scams, osu DM is also fine.

and some people have asked me to extend the deadline cuz they were busy and still working on map.

i will extend it to May 8, and start judging on May 9.

Old entries may be re-submitted if you want fix some stuff.
