Yahoo! My name is Aiirozura but most of my mates call me Aii or Ascore (discord username), feel free to call me whatever. I only found out about this forum just yesterday and my introduction is overdue for 1 and a half years but here we go! Brace for a long read!
I found out about osu! from a friend Neo-Noire back in June 2020 but only played opsu and osu!droid since my current (but potato) laptop was still broken. When July of 2020 came, I was able to register my osu! account under the name "EarlDCringe" (don't ask me about it), I only played for a little over 20 minutes before giving up and going back to playing osu!droid.
When August of 2020 rolled around, I remembered that I had osu! installed on my laptop and decided to give it a second shot, this time though, I got really into the game because Neo-noire and another friend of mine from a small editing group played multi-lobbies every other day. Honestly, without them, I wouldn't be the player I am today and I probably would've still been tapping circles on my phone until now. Sad to say that Neo-Noire quit around the end of the month and so did my other friend, and it was just me all alone.
September 2020 has to be one of the best months of my osu! career because I met a really, really kind and generous guy called Nekozura (name was -Sylveon- when we met, and you know how I got my username now ). The reason I say he was a kind and generous guy was because literally 4-5 hours AFTER WE MET, he decided that he would give me an osu!supporter for some reason that I do not remember. This motivated me to play even more and along with this motivation came fast improvement.
Fast forward to February 2021, I got into DT a lot the past few weeks and was playing my standard farm maps and (while I'm not proud of it), got my first 100pp play on Turbo- PADORU / PADORU +HDDT 93.00% 1sb worth exactly 100pp. I still remember the adrenaline I got after weeks of trying to get a 100pp play on various maps of various skillsets. This DT-farming phase went on for about another 2 months or so before taking my first major break in May 2021.
When October 2021 hit around, I saw Tonehh's video featuring khz's method of learning how to stream using those square deathstream maps. This was around the time where I could barely stream anything above 175bpm consistently. I gave khz's method a shot for a few days and figured that it just was not for me. And I just played how I normally would (post-DT farmer phase) but incorporating a few stream and finger control maps here and there. After a few weeks I would see a noticable difference in consistency and stamina. Then I sadly had to follow up with a break due to academics.
Jump now to March of 2022, I have improved a lot regarding my speed, stamina, consistency and finger control and have passed some of the maps I have always wanted a pass on (The Words I Never Said, 5 star Euphoria, Both U.N.I.T.E.D mapsets (sightreaded), Ascension to Heaven and the list goes on.)Apart from my huge improvement on streams and finger control, nothing much has happened. I am now currently on break to focus on my academics and to find time to play other games again.
Thank you for reading through my lengthy introduction / summarization of my osu! Journey so far. If you'd like, please add me on Discord as I'd like to make new friends! The username is Ascore#5777.
Have a great day and you're well on your way to becoming an osu! Rhythm Champion!
