After I pressed f5 when downloading a map (Ao To Natsu) The loved version, my maps disappeared leaving only that map alone. When I restart osu this pops up

Also to clarify, all of my beatmaps are still in the beatmaps folder, they just couldn't be processed.

osu! version: Stable 20220307 (latest)

Does pressing F5 do anything? Do you have any files in the osu! folder titled with a really long name or very odd naming structure? (specifically the osu!.db.<some amount of long numbers>)

Whenever I open osu I have no maps and when I press "Play" it brings me to the osu direct area, therefore I have no ability to press f5. I have osu!.db and a lot of other hidden files. Do you need a specific file name?

Try closing the game and deleting osu!.db to see if that helps.

Tried that. Nothing, still the same issue.

Can you post the "runtime.log" file from your Logs folder after you receive this error message?

Should I just send all of the text or how would I attach the log?

Either way this is what it says for the error:

You can just copy and paste all of the text into a post here if it's short enough. Otherwise you'll either need to upload the file somewhere and post a download link or use a site like pastebin.

I edited the log to the comment above

Have you tried deleting that newest loved map you just imported? One of your maps likely has a file with some super weird name, and if you just started experiencing this issue after importing a new map, I'd guess it would be that one.

I did try deleting the map and reopening however a new error message showed up saying "Don't make changes to your osu folder" or something along the lines of that. Maps still didn't load.

I guess it's possible there's another map in your Songs folder that is actually broken and importing a new map triggered a reprocess of your beatmaps that led to you initially receiving the error...

Not sure if there's a great way to troubleshoot that other than by removing all of your beatmaps and slowly adding them back in until things break again.

I don't think that's the issue. When I was downloading a map I pressed f5 so that osu would reload my maps but since I was downloading one I think that interfered with it and now my files can't be accessed by osu. Do you happen to know anything about giving osu permission to view files?
Death
That's not really what's being indicated by the error message you're getting.

Is there anyway I could reprocess my maps and have loaded back into osu?
Death
This might be your best bet:

I see

So I moved all of my beatmaps into another folder and left just one. The map I left loaded along with the default osu maps. So I believe the issue is a beatmap.

Edit: There seems to be a failed beatmap that didn't load properly and also other corrupt files.

After removing them, my beatmaps have loaded back up.

I have too many beatmaps I didn't even notice the "Failed" folder.
