its kinda embarrassing just to say "showing sympathy/empathy towards inanimate objects" but i want an answer to why im feeling bad for inanimate objects

there was this one time in 5th grade, where we decorated gingerbread houses and i accidently lost my spoon. at home, i started crying because i felt bad for the spoon and i didnt want to disclose it to my parents because my parents think it would be stupid for someone to feel bad for inanimate objects

there are so many times where i actually felt bad for inanimate objects for several reasons. i dont really know why this is happening, but if someone can tell me why, i appreciate it!!1

its a symptom of autism

only joke, well its true, but its also just a normal thing some people feel tbh, the mind is complicated. don't worry about it too much. nobody here knows enough about you to really tell you why you feel this way, but there is nothing wrong with it.

Seems normal for people in my opinion. People can be just as emotionally attached to objects as friends / family. Like stuffed animals for example.

I get depressed when I lose my stuff too._.
For me it's because i have attachments to things because either the people i received that item from are important or it had something to do with me working hard for it

Either ways it's a normal thing imo and you shouldn't really be concerned

unless you start to develop romantic feelings towards inanimate objects

For me, if the inanimate object is expensive or has sentimental value? Absolutely!

To be honest the brain is an extremely complex thing, as long as it isn't harming anyone I don't think you should worry about it ^^
