Great! Everyone is here. Lets not waste anymore time. Roll the firt batch of questions!

I would like to actually do something on occasion. Probably organize an event or two. However, I don't want to make any concrete promises yet, as the environment of OT could potentially shift over the course of my term, leading to certain plans being more or less effective.

I think that the current denizen requirements are functional, but could possibly be improved. I think that a lot of the ideas proposed by ShinRun in his denizen nomination idea are interesting, and if he becomes president and enacts them, I certainly won't be complaining (immediately). If I had to change something, I would probably at least slightly lower the amount of months needed. Not necessarily back down to two, but I think somewhere around six could still be effective at the goal of keeping denizens interacting.

In term of new laws or such, except my denizen proposal, I don’t plan on adding and changing anything since the current situation on OT seems fine. However this might change in the future as the meta shifted but if something is required of change, I will be hands-on. Other than that, I will host more smaller short term events that last a week or so since my attention span is so short. I’ll also invest more time in OT and create more quality threads.

As of making this post, fellow presidential candidate ShinRun is no longer in the presidential campaign by their request.
This will hopefully not hinder the Presidential Election.

As some of you might have noticed, I have opted to drop out from this presidential election. I mainly dropped out since I believe I won't be a good president and I believe fellow candidates ghoulybits would make a more proper president. Also, since me and ghoulybits share the same view and ideas, I believe that I can trust her with OT. I also would like to stay out of trouble that the position and parliament might bring. I just want to enjoy my time on OT, create more quality threads and set up some fun events. I only signed up for the election for fun but after realizing I will probably win the overwhelming majority of votes, it seems like it's time to back down.

I thank my supporter for supporting me and everyone else for believing in me, I might run for president next year if ghouly fuck up real bad.

Idk, my goal in the campaign was to "make OT more well known to the community" and they literally just added in a wiki page for it, this means that peppy liked it so much that he took my idea and implemented it

Things I like, in no particular order: The history/"lore", when there's actually interesting posts, the sense of community, the discussions we are occasionally able to have where no one starts spamming shitty memes, and the people in it.

As NotRaffi said, I'm not sure we actually have any power over whether or not those threads get locked, but I'm generally against necros (unless necroing the thread is situationally appropriate). I think shitposts are fine as long as they aren't like, single word posts or whatever. As long as there's something there for people to reply to and it's not utterly benign trash, they have a place on OT, whether I personally like it or not.

Seems like Asian Warlord has not answered the questions. Asian Warlord is one more strike off of elimination, they would also need to answer 2 more batches to meet the batches answered threshold. Lets move one to the next batch.

I think that elements of Penguin's denizen requirements should stay as they are, and I think that the current approval committee isn't being terribly slow (after all, there's been much less people this past year who even attempt to meet the standards required for denizenship, much less actually obtain it). I think that a readjustment of the time needed could be beneficial though. For example, have a 6 month period instead of 8. I also agree with many of the ideas ShinRun brought up in his suggestion post about denizen requirements.

I think the relationship is definitely strained between newfags and oldfags, but there isn't much that can be done. While you can argue that the relationship between the NEOS newfags and the oldfags has slowly gotten better, that's probably only because we've been here for around a year now. Even newerfags than us are still regarded with annoyance. Oldfags will probably only come to appreciate newfags if they start making meaningful/entertaining posts, which is something I aim to encourage if I become president. Is it a lost cause? Yes. But hey, it could be successful.

Penguin's system was pretty good, but i'll probably tweak it a bit, just make it shorter or something

Candidate Asian Warlord has failed to answer 3 questions, therefore he will be disqualified from the 2022 OT Presidential Election.

As of making this post, Asian Warlord will not be able to continue his Presidential Campaign.

Anyways, lets have some fun for the last batch. The remaining 2 candidates have passed the threshold so it dont really matter but i highly request you both to answer the last reamining questions. Thank you!

The Second phase of the OT presidential election 2022 has officially ended.
From now on, no further questions nor answers shall be put out.

The third phase of the election will start soon.
All Denizen will have the ability to vote for whom they think would fit the role as President of OT.
