Hi osu! community, I’m 13 years old and I always get mad for no reason. I searched Google for solutions but I want more tips from more people. And of course, I asked my parents and my brother. Thank you for reading.

it's normal. I was also got quite emotional when I was like 12-13 for no reason at all, it'll go away as you get older.

and by the time you turn 15-16 you'll realize just how dumb your past 13 year old self was.

yeah i also get super angry on small things and start crying because of that, when i was 10-11

Try to have calm mind. If anything make you angry then try to avoid it or say to yourself 'dont be angry at small things'

I am a IDGAF mindset type of guy and I have seen that many people try to be cool and telling others that they dont care about other and straight on being toxic

I'd change my food if I were you. Try cutting refined sugars, since that could be the issue (I did the same, and it was refined sugars for me, or so my mother says).

Once you reach at age of 17 (18 more effectively), you'll gradually start to not give a care to many things that you used to get mad before

It is like your mental is too exhausted to even care, no matter if you are feeling well or actually tired

You should probably try meditating. I heard it's a pretty good way to lessen your anger.

Actually, this is a good method.

although my 'meditation' was different...

Yes. Although I'm only able to speak from personal experience, I will say that you start to get a bit more busy with life and you learn that some things just aren't worth your brainpower stressing over.

Even though I advise against suppressing your emotions, it will be necessary at times. As a friend once told me, a little bit of apathy is healthy.

Regarding getting angry, Ideally, you should:

1. Accept that you have the emotion.
2. Understand why you are feeling angry.
3. Reflect on it, process it, and if you can, let it pass. (This one is super important.)

However, sometimes, like in your case, you can't figure out why you're angry. I'd tell you to really try hard and figure out why you feel that way but I'm sure you're already trying to do such a thing. And I'm trying my best not to sound patronizing. The important thing is that you recognize and accept the emotion. Seems like you're on the right step in this case, so, good job!

I also agree with this piece of advice here. Meditating takes practice, keep that in mind. But it's great if you can pull it off. Take what I say with a grain of salt however. I've never been able to successfully meditate. But the reason I wanted to give it a shot was because during meditation, you sit with your emotions and as a result you reflect, process and let your emotions pass.

Really what I'm trying to convey is that properly accepting, recognizing and digesting your emotions is important.

Puberty is quite a time to go through. So I wish you the best of luck and I sincerely hope that you develop well.
