[Archived] Taiko finisher notes are broken for me :/

Problem details:
I've played taiko no tatsujin for a while before osu!taiko, but I can never get a perfect finisher in the osu! version - its always treated like a perfect normal note. This wasn't the case in osu!lazer tho, so I'm wondering if its a bug or i'm doing something wrong.
Any ideas?

Assuming you are actually hitting the finishers correctly, you're probably experiencing this:

So you aren't doing anything wrong, but there isn't really a fix other than lowering your frame rate.

Sorry for reviving an inactive post but I need help with this issue and have even done what the above person has suggested.

I have the same above problem, I probably hit 5% of finishers on osu! stable but using the same tactic on lazer I hit all of them perfectly. I tried changing my fps, my screen hertz, different keyboards, turning off one of my 2 monitors, trying with a fresh new osu! and all still results in me not getting Perfect hits on Taiko and I know for sure it isnt a skill issue.

I want to still be able to improve and rank up on stable but this issue is starting to create notelocking issues on stable so I really need help with this.
