Save the position you were in the editor when you closed the editor in the .osu. That way, seeking is not required every time you open a WIP.
Loaded only when openned from the song select. Switching difficulties (CTRL-O) should keep current behavior.
James2250 EDIT: I think in the long run this would cause more confusion than anything. Seeing as you can do what Kitsunemimi mentioned and you can set bookmarks to go where you left off in the map going to deny this.
