For every (e.g. 50k rank) you get a different name color or every 10 levels you get a different name color
just an idea

rankwhoring instead of gaining skill rewarded with different colors? it's broken enough as it is now and level colors are like.. meh
(i'm not talking about all high ranked players, just about those scoring high on not so difficult maps just for rank)

If this were implemented, how would you expect this to work for other game modes. I'm rank 220k in osu!, but I'm rank 1.1k in CtB.

The main issue with adding more colors is that you'll end up confusing players, since they're confused with the current colors as is, and it'll make the game/forums seem much more cluttered, which is something to avoid :3
