so lets first start of with the factor of I started playing Osu on a XP-pen g640 since 2 months after i started playing the game. I have been playing on and off for almost a year, but i am to the point where i am getting to mid 5* and i am taking the game seriously now. I am a drag player and i did not put a cover on my tablet so the surface is so scratched to the point where it is really slippery but i am so used to playing at top left that nothing else feels the same. So i bought a Wacom CTL-472 because everyone said that it was the next successor to the 480, but i cant get used to it. First off the surface it way to scratchy like chalkboard scratchy and affects how i move my pen i know i don't have a cover yet to try the tablet with a different surface but i don't even know if i like the pen its smaller and thinner than the g640's pen but the material it is made out of feels cheap. Also i dont know if i have been playing with hardware smoothing this whole time on the xp-pen or if the wacom is just a way better tablet( in terms of less smoothing) but with the same area on the same driver it is way too fast for me. if anyone can provide some input that would be awesome im losing sanity by the minute. side note literally the only reason i thought about buying the cth-480 would be for the pen.
whateverlul yt
the Wacom 2k pen is one of the worst pen from Wacom so if you don't like it get the 480 (if u can find one)

if it's any consolation, I also started off on the g640, bought the CTL-472, and returned it the next day because of the surface.

My best advice would be to either get a tablet cover or get a CTL-480/680 if you can find either of them

edit: also fuck the 472 pen, all my homies hate the 472 pen

i just made a switch from xp pen g430s to CTL-472 literally 2 days ago, playing on some low star maps i can immediately notice my aim is infinitely snappier (with some shake), the pen is indeed smaller but i actually like it, my consistency on jumps is gone tho because of the different feeling on aiming but i think i can get used to it in a month or so, overall really good deal for me
