I saw a vid of Saturos playing Deja Vu on youtube.
I thought it was godly and downloaded Osu! : D
There were a few problems though:
1. I was on a laptop and I used a tablet with a mouse XD
2. I had no idea how it actually worked
So then I downloaded BOUGHT.. I mean bought.. yeaahh.. EBA for the DS and learned how to play and stuff..
Then I really started playing Osu! : D

I found osu! in YouTube while watching a Trauma Center Operation, I don't remember what operation it is but its on Wii, Second Opinion. I saw it in [Related Videos] thing. And I got addicted with this. xD

Was looking for an open rhythm game, as in with user made content possible, I found Stepmania first, had fun with it, after a year, got a bit bored and when wanted some variety. While searching everywhere and stuff, I came across the name osu!, which I remember from the DS game Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan. Looked at it and fell in love with it just by reading the FAQs and the first view of the game itself, the editor is very user friendly, nice and still manages to be very flexible and open, the community is pretty nice, and the game itself manages to even surpass the original that it can be considered a whole new remake. Sometimes depending on the beatmap being played though

Saw it because of Mogsy and Xiao, since we all play FFR. I was interested, so now I'm here! Haha.
FFR finally did something useful for once?

I saw a YouTube video back in '07 and was thinking "THIS LOOKS LIKE FUN." (I think it was WiW?) But anyways, I downloaded the game soon after watching the vid and here I am today.

Either my post was deleted or I never posted seriously in this thread.

I found osu! when I first got a flashcart for my DS. I'd been playing FFR for a while and discovered that I actually like rhythm games providing the songs are good. My friend showed me Ouendan and I thought it was awesome, so I downloaded it and got bored after I cleared normal. Whilst on DCEmu, I noticed Custom Ouendan, but when I downloaded it it didn't run on my flashcart. After googling for a while I found osu! on a random brown blog, and I was impressed. When I went to actually download it I noticed it uses .net, which was incompatible with my OS at the time, Windows 98SE. For quite a while I stalked peppy, hoping there might be an update that would allow me to play it, but it never came, so I abandoned osu! and spent most of 2007 watching old anime on my Wii.
Before Christmas, my granddad asked me to choose a new computer, so I went there to where Gordon Freeman was fighting. John Freeman fired his bullet from teh gun really fast and the bullets went and shot the final boss in the eyes and the final boss couldnt see.
In the end, I chose a laptop running Vista, because Chiivis-tan is hawt.
When Christmas came I got bored after I realized starting Firefox would no longer take all day, so I downloaded a load of .net applications, all of which were shit.
Then, I remembered osu!. Watching a playthrough of Feel Good Inc. made me certain that the game was worth downloading, so I used my new 8MB connection to download osu! with Feel Good Inc, Rabbit Joint Zelda and the Ultimate Showdown.
It wasn't as enjoyable as I thought, and I was soon sick of those songs, so osu! remained dormant until a gigantic light bulb lit up above my head and I started watching anime on my laptop.

it's spelled animes but pronounced anime because the the japanese are crazy and the slightest hint of an 's' will send them into a bloodthirsty rage
kideddie1501
do they really get mad because of that? they want you to say an object then a number to get the point across. plurals are'nt that bad.

I joined because someone told me there was a PC version to Ouendan/EBA.

1. Jailbroken iPod Touch
2. Bored, browsing Cydia's Games list
3. Found Osu! iPhone
4. Played and thought "No way such a small homebrew game can have so much beatmaps made for it"
5. Searched and found Osu! PC

At first I had trouble because my mouse is a low DPI mouse. But later, I thought of WIN2DS, tried it and now I play Osu! a lot though I play the iPhone version more than the PC version.

I must be the first person to be introduced to Osu! iPhone before the PC version...

Found out about osu from game faqs in a topic in the DS Section. I had heard alot of things about Elite Beat Agents but never tried it so i decided to try out osu. I liked the game, but really sucked at it at the time and just didn't play much after. Then I tried out EBA on an R4 and saw it was pretty great. Then I purchased EBA And got really great at it. Then I tried out osu on the iPod Touch and rembered that i had it on my computer. I didn't revist osu on the computer though till i beat Both ouendan games.

I was sitting on xfire waiting for my friend to download stepmania, and saw someone on friends of friends playing osu. Thought it looked weird, so asked what it was, as soon as I found out it was a rhythm game I downloaded it.

My network of friends at a small forums called Natsu No Koi told me about this game. I left it alone until one fine day when I was totally bored and not knowing what to do, so I came in to see why a friend lost time on his work playing osu!

The rest is history. Tunak Tunak Tun~~~~~~~~
