What this suggestion means:
Let's say you fail a song. You can either choose to continue or see how others are doing. To see how others are doing, you can click on their name and a live replay, like how spectating is in non multiplayer, will appear and you can see how they are doing as well. The mods they are using will also be shown as well.
I thought this would be nice if you decided you don't want to play anymore since you failed, and see how your competitors or allys (team play) are doing.
