Marathon songs must follow structure 'Artists - Source/discography/artist Marathon' unless the medley was officially released and has its own name. If you're using only short shots from couple of songs, it must follow structure 'Artists - Source/discography/artist Compilation'. If song contains high amount of artists, use 'Various Artist' instead. There can be couple of maps with same name, but another used songs. They all should have at least simple storyboard to highlight songs it contains.
I think there is no reason to explain... just will make a difference between Marathon and Compilation and will make some consistency to these maps.

Makes sense to me, I think it wouldn't bad at all.

What.

Like seriously what.

Firstly, not all marathon maps are medleys/compilations. You have maps like these: https://osu.ppy.sh/s/107800 https://osu.ppy.sh/s/82635 https://osu.ppy.sh/s/76461 :P. In fact, I literally only see 1 Approved map that is a compliation/medley on the first page of approved beatmaps. Plus, I've always had it in my head that the creator of the medley/compilation should be the one in the artist (ie. if I made a K-On! medley, the title would be "CDFA - Whatever I want to name it because I made it")

Most of this rule is jut like common sense of knowing the definition of a compilation and a medley, so it's kind of pointless to have it in the rules.

As for the storyboarding part, no. Firstly, it'd be a LOT of text when making a storyboard, having to say "THIS SONG IS KAWAII NIHONGO DESU". Plus, a lot of people wouldn't even really be looking at that when playing the map. It may be a good idea to place this in the beatmap page instead of forcing people to make storyboards for it. (Plus, imagine THIS map with a storyboard saying "HI HERE IS NAME OF SONG" : https://osu.ppy.sh/s/16831 :P)

No support.

Okay. Now there IS reason to explain.
Approved beatmaps is not same as Marathon beatmaps. Approved beatmaps are considered as marathon maps because they must be minimal 6 minutes. But it doesn't mean all approved maps are marathons. Marathon is beatmap which contains more songs than one.

Wait... creator of marathon/compilation, who threw like 10 songs into the fucking mp3 is artist? I would consider you as artist if you somehow afflicted the songs in it, not if you used original songs. Once if you're really artist or you've really changed something in those songs, you can make name as you want. ( This is imo good map to explain: https://osu.ppy.sh/s/16831 It is not original, it can alter the song name, obviously) But if I will put some songs into one mp3 which I didn't somehow afflict I can make this, just imagine I'm mapping Demetori marathon and I will use this name 'Wafu - Yeah, this title totally doesn't make any sense and is totally not releated to this song' really? It's why I've said there should be difference between marathons and compilations so I just suggested those two name structures, one for marathon song, one for compilation song for the consistency.

Okay... you won't need storyboard (because you guys are just lazy), but the songs must be in tags. Exactly https://osu.ppy.sh/s/16831 is map which this doesn't afflict, because two songs of name: NicoNicoDouga - Nanairo no Nico Nico Douga won't exist.
I mean something like https://osu.ppy.sh/s/99506 (If we could consider this rule, it should name: ClariS - ClariS Compilation) and I will be obviously able to make another ClariS - ClariS Compilation with different songs, so it's why it should be in tags to see any difference.

In real medley and compilation means almost the same, both means some songs mixed into one, but marathon is the same like in real life, so I suggested to use this when you are not using just short cuts of songs, but if you're using whole songs.

Unneeded. There is a rule stating that the metadata must be correct and this falls under it.

No, it doesn't. Currently, I'm really sad of this community. They won't and won't read what I write so I need to ALWAYS repeat it.
I'm saying if you mix marathon song (Like if you use whole soundtrack of an anime), then you will use 'Artists - Source/discography/artist Marathon' structure. If you are using only short cuts of the song, you must use 'Artists - Source/discography/artist Compilation' structure. This doesn't afflict officially released marathon songs like https://osu.ppy.sh/s/3636.

Okay. I've said it third time. Isn't it seriously enough guys?

Titles should always reflect the actual song title. Nothing more, nothing less.
