Osu scaling images up -> Loss of Quality

As it turns out, osu! is upscaling images from my skin files by √2 for whatever reason.

I've taken a screenshot of the hit circle overlay, in addition to what it looks like in Photoshop when I open the file overlayed with the screenshot

Both the ingame image and the hit circle overlay are at my native resolution (1920x1080), cropped down for convenience.

It seems extremely odd, not to mention disappointing if you want quality images.
Any reason for this discrepancy?

Are you using @2x sprites (HD sprites)? If so, try editing your osu!.<your_pc_name>.cfg file and change the value of "HighResolution" to 1. If not, this issue may come from your screen resolution too high for your low resolution sprites.

Ah, that was the problem. I moved my osu! data from my laptop [which had a resolution of 1366x768 (which is extremely close to a √2 upscale to 1920x1080)]. Since I do play osu! quite often, I'll just reinstall to my C drive.

Thanks! My skinning experience is now much happier.
