It makes sense to buy cth-480 instead of ctl-472?

Cth-480 is better or no?

I have the cth-480, it does a few cons like more expensive, harder to find or most likely preowned. My tablet cuts out like once and hour for like a few seconds which isn't a big deal, it has made me choke a play but just really random but it's not the biggest of problems, it'd say it only happens because the tablet is pretty old like what can i expect tbh. But it's your money your call. Just after using my cth-480 for dragging i've started to develop some of the surface coming off from draging hard but if you're a hover player or really careful it should definitely suit you.

i have the ctl-472, and as shown here, it also scrapes and digs the surface as a drag player only after some months of usage. this happens with any tablet, it isnt a pro or con of one tablet versus another, its just inevitable as a drag player. you can use tablet covers like the foxbox ones if you want to avoid distorting the surface, but then that changes friction and things like that

The ctl-472 surface is made of sandpaper. My pen nibs wear out in hours. I had one with a foxbox cover, but over time I noticed the cursor shaking like mad if I didn't have excessive smoothing filters enabled that messed with my aim.

I've gone back to the xp-pen g640s and I'm having a great time.

honestly, every higher quality/popular tablet has the paper texture. i used the osu brand tablet for 3 years, and i loved it to death because the surface was legit just super cheat plastic that was soo smooth. the higher quality tablets are catered for artists, so it feels more like actual paper, it has a lot more friction as well and it sounds like nails on chalkboard. regardless of surface, the very good input latency is something i would still have a reason to choose the better tablets over older/less quality tablets, even if i like the cheap plastic tablets a lot more. another think i dont like about the newer tablets is the super slim pens. i used the osu brand tablet for 3 years so i got used to the huge chunky battery-powered pen, so now i wrap my ctl 472 pen with layers of electrical tape to bulk it up
