With the addition of "Selected Mod" rankings, there is now a place to view scores people have set outside of top 50. Because of this, looking for DT passes on certain hard maps can be very interesting, and some of these scores are impressive in their own right.
I have a lot of such scores, but have not been able to submit them due to having no mod plays which are, in my opinion, less impressive, but have higher score due to higher combo.
So I propose either an option to overwrite scores if you would like, or be able to submit multiple scores on the same beatmap.
If the first option is implemented, it would obviously have to have limitations, such as not being able to overwrite scores in the overall top 100, or not being able to overwrite scores giving you a considerable amount of PP. Both of these things seem reasonable.
The second option, I think, is a much better option, but maybe harder to implement. In this case, a single player can submit multiple scores for a beat map, but only the highest score for each mod combination is submitted. That means a player can have an HD score, a no mod score, a DT score, an HDDT score, an HDHR score, an EZ score and so on - all on the same map. These scores all appear in the "Selected Mod" listing. However, only the highest scoring play will appear in the overall, friend and country rankings. And in this case, if multiple of those scores would give PP, there are two options for that:
1. Only the highest score gives PP
2. Only the score that would give the most PP gives PP
Another thing to note, this would also be a good way to put some life into other certain niche rankings (most notably, EZ or EZDT)
A few of the scores that are, sadly, subject to be forever unsubmitted:
