Hello! I'm a fellow intermediate non-ranked mapper here. Over the time I've been mapping I've noticed I've been improving and my maps have gotten much better the more I map (obviously). I was mapping and thinking back to how one of my maps got 5k plays while someone else's of the same map got 41k plays, I was kind of salty at first but now I've accepted it and I'm ok with that. I believe this is mostly because his map came up first when you search up the name of the song rewarding his unexperienced map over mine which looked much better (and felt) and just had more effort into it.
So I thought about how osu! could have a very quick rating for maps that "map pickers" go through that will go to graveyard. This would help many mappers to compare their score to their old maps and (hopefully) notice that they've gotten better at mapping and for osu! players who search up graveyard songs/maps to find one with a higher rating for a more enjoyable experience.
