There's no benefit to either direction, just do what you find to be comfortable. Most people use downscroll as it is the easiest and most common direction for beginners to VSRGs, but there are plenty of people who find upscroll easier as well. Even top players like Etienne use upscroll.

No, for 4k at least.
There are many games that don't offer an upscroll option (and aren't planning to). This might be a factor depending on your circumstances.
Ultimately, it comes down to preference. If you're comfortable with it, there's no reason to change.
