Hi! M4M from my queue :3
And like every mod, these are just suggestions, so ignore them or correct me, if you think I'm wrong with something. :)

These are my scores (only if you want to know them) :D

haha, nice, first time I see this
So let's start the mod, even though I love that Beatmap already.

How about you add Savant and Melody Circus to the tags? No need, it's already in the metadata.

  • Easy

Well, I didn't found anything wrong or bad in it, so good job!
  • Normal

00:38:835 (2) - Move the last node one to the left so it's curvier around - 00:40:149 (3) Fixed
    01:21:755 (5) - Middle note one down ^ Fixed
    02:05:550 (1) - You could move that to X356 Y160 and - 02:06:864 (2) - to X416 Y296 so - 02:05:550 (1) - is blanket with - 02:03:361 (2) no, doesn't look good enough.
02:13:872 (2,3) - In my opinion, this overlap looks bad. It doesn't look bad.
    02:56:791 (5) - How about you move that to X152 Y180 so it's more symmetric to - 02:55:477 (2,4)
Fixed

  • Hard

02:08:178 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - I think that's a little bit to hard for hard :? hm, I don't know, but I will change it if I get more mods on it.
02:50:660 (5) - Move the second node one up?
not fixed.

  • Insane

    01:12:996 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - I love that pattern!thanks:D
02:55:477 (2) - I don't like that slider, but hey, opinions are different. I like it, but it's probably because Im bored ^^
    Awesome done!
Sorry it took so long. :?
Good luck on ranking this! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ ~`☆
Thank you very much for your mod!

I keep my words~ Allright, as I offered you last month. Quick glance on the most critical issues only to make it more equal to your mod. ;)

Bold: Fix quickly/unrankable stuff
Red: Highly recommend

[General]
  1. Should disable both Widescreen support and letterboxes during breaks, you don't really need them.
  2. You need a more even difficulty setting spread between your maps (because that's a new thing lol). So please fix everything what I wrote concerning this below.
  3. That SV increase between Easy and Normal is a bit imbalanced if you compare it to the other diffs in this set.
  4. There's an issue which hinders this map from getting ranked, and that is the diff gap between Normal and Hard.
Normal is primarily focused on 1/1 beats, while the Hard is filled with relatively high-spaced 1/3 beats all the way with some jumps inbetween these 'circlestreams'.
There's two ways to fix this:
    1. Buff the normal by making more usage of 1/3 beats (as well as increasing note density in Easy to keep up with the changes) and lowering the density in the hard diff.
    2. Make a new map to bridge the gap or ask a GDer to do it.
[Easy]
  1. OD/HP1? I think that's a bit too easy, push both up by 1. Also push the AR up by 1 to bridge the gap to Normal.
  2. 00:28:324 (2,1) - Check spacing.
  3. 00:32:704 (3) - Might add a whistle on sliderend for the high-pitched note.
  4. 00:45:842 (3) - NC. Same at 00:59:857 (4) - 01:05:988 (4) - 01:17:375 (3) - 01:20:003 (3) - 01:34:018 (3) - 02:02:923 (4) - 02:05:550 (3) - 02:12:558 (4) - 02:16:061 (7) - 02:48:470 (5) -
It's good if you check NCs yourself again, as Combos are sometimes pretty big for an Easy diff.
  5. Feels a bit plain to play, but welp, it's made for real beginners I guess.
[Normal]
  1. Push HP up by 1.
  2. 01:15:185 (4,5) - Space them out with 1.0xDS, the spacing might confuse new players.
  3. 01:22:631 (6,1,2) - Spacing. Same at 02:57:229 (6,7,1) -
  4. 01:34:018 (1,2) - Not sure about the spacing here either, even if it's small. I think you can arrange symmetry without that spacing change.
  5. It feels really monotonous since it is like 95% 1/1 beats with only a few 1/3 snaps here and there. :/ I think this could be improved while still remaining a normal diff, but maybe it's just my opinion.
[Hard]
  1. Please push the AR up by 1, the objects clutter really hard already.
  2. Push up HP by 1 / 1.5, gap between Hard and Insane concerning this setting is too high.
  3. 01:15:623 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - You certainly won't see this kind of stuff in a hard diff, especially not with these jumps inbetween. Nerf it/ space everything equal.
  4. 01:27:302 (2,3,4,5,6) - Try not to make players t1/3 tap more than five beats in a row, as it's pretty difficult to play.
  5. 02:04:674 (1,2,3,4,5,6,1) - ^
  6. 02:08:178 (1,2,3,4,5,6,1) - ^
  7. 02:59:857 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - ^
  8. Might as well call this light Insane and make an actual hard diff if you want to keep these patterns. :D
  9. Compared to your easier diffs, this one has good rhythm and really neat structure/slider patterns. It's a bit too hard for an actual hard diff tho. ><
[Insane]
  1. 01:15:623 (1,2,3,1,2,3) - Genius
  2. A buffed version of the hard, pretty well hand-crafted. I will look at this later when I see this map has reached a more rankable state (that means bridging the Normal-Hard gap).
Fix the gap and general setting issues, call for 4-5 mods if you got it and then call me again when you think it's ready. :)

Okay! so after I fixed what you suggested, I went over Normal and Hard. Made the Normal more complex with about 10-15 more circles and hard got easier.

So I looked into the spread issue and yea... Looks like the easy diff needs a bit more of an overhaul.
First thing off, you need to increase the SV more so it's balanced difficulty-wise(right now it's 0.9 -- 1.5 - 1.9 - 2.3). In short: Set the SV at 1.20, Keep the 1.0xDS spacing, and focus a bit more on 1/1 beats.
I think it shouldn't take too much time to fix, but it's a necessary one unless you want to map an easier normal map.

-Update-

I remapped [1-bit] completely. Let's find some flaws shall we.. 8-) gogo
Pho
Little recheck

[1-bit]
  1. 00:13:434 (1,2) - It doesn't make much sense to me why the first two measures have such low beat density and then at 00:16:937 - you're suddenly going constant 1/1 beats.
    Try to improve this.
  2. I'd recommend setting NCs after every two stanzas instead of one, 2-combos are really small even for easy diffs.
  3. 00:31:828 (3,1) - Could blanket
  4. 01:19:565 (5) - 01:22:193 (3) - 01:23:945 (1) - 03:06:426 (2) - 03:10:806 (1) - Clap on all diffs.
I think there are more, so would be cool if you could check these quickly (just use the hitsound copier)
Spread looks fine now, call me back when done!

A difficulty's name must indicate its level of difficulty, with the exception of the hardest level of difficulty in a set. The mapset's hardest difficulty may use an appropriate custom difficulty name, unrelated to a username. Mapsets may also use a complete set of custom difficulty names that clearly indicate their level of difficulty to the player. Marathon maps with a single difficulty may use free naming.
I don't think current diff names are acceptable, since 1-bit 2-bit 4-bit 8-bit things doesn't really represent its difficulty. If you refer to https://osu.ppy.sh/s/347136 this mapset, it's an 'Approved' mapset, so that's an exception.

There is a clear difficulty path in the naming of the maps, with the bits determining the difficulty level. Just to draw the analogy to computer sciences: a bit (=binary digit) acts as a measure for self-information. The higher the amount of bits that is necessary to store the data, the more complex it gets.

That's true, but it only indicates that the bigger numbers are harder than the smaller numbers. Like, you can't directly imagine that 4 bit means Hard or 2 bit means Normal. These diff names can go with Beginner-Easy-Normal-Hard mapset, or Normal-Hard-Insane-Extra too. It's not "clearly indicating their level of difficulty".

edit: so I think those 'custom dfif names' mean other than ENHIX names, something like Basic Advanced Extreme Another and other things.

edit2: was my 700th post xD
Yuii-
I actually have to agree with Doyak here. Yeah, sure, the difficulties are "fine", but... does really the music has any relationship with BITS? I don't guess so, unless there's a story behind the song I haven't searched for.
Natsu
https://osu.ppy.sh/s/340399
https://osu.ppy.sh/s/118494

if those were right then this one is also fine.
Doyak
Oh lol... then I should admit. But really, the rc has ambiguous statement...

"Mapsets may also use a complete set of custom difficulty names that clearly indicate their relative absolute level of difficulty to the player."

All the music Savant makes is kinda based on 8-bit (old songs from games etc.). Also, since the basic ENHI is most used on beatmaps, I would't say it's hard to figure out that 1-bit, 2-bit, 4-bit and 8-bit are ENHI. And like Natsu says, other beatmaps are already ranked with these kinda diffnames :)

00:28 Krfawy: your 'easy' is overlapping quite often if you ask me
00:28 Krfawy: and the slider velocity combined with the spacing is a mixture that screams for a higher AR
00:29 Krfawy: 01:00:733 (3,1) - something like this requires at least AR3 if not higher

00:33 AndreasHD: the overlapping ?

00:33 Krfawy: I would say it's more about fucking the spread with AR5->AR8 XDDD
00:34 AndreasHD: hm, that is true haha
00:38 AndreasHD: Kyubey was gonna check my map after he's done watching an anime episode, so you can wait if you want to.. actually, do what you want, but just be aware that he might mod it very soon o.o

00:46 AndreasHD: yea I guess
00:46 Krfawy: 02:16:061 (1,3) - this is okay but I just suggest you to avoid such constructions in next maps in Normals and Easies :v

00:49 AndreasHD: well, it's only 4 bit
00:49 Krfawy: ofc the design is noic

00:53 Krfawy: I think someone would find it as a difficulty spike
00:54 Krfawy: even if there are jumps and streams

00:38 AndreasHD: Kyubey was gonna check my map after he's done watching an anime episode, so you can wait if you want to.. actually, do what you want, but just be aware that he might mod it very soon o.o
00:39 Krfawy: actually
00:39 Krfawy: feel free to use AR4 in Easy
00:40 Krfawy: and AR6 in Normal
00:40 Krfawy: XD
00:40 Krfawy: well
00:40 AndreasHD: you sure? xD
00:40 AndreasHD: I can speak with Kyubey about the AR if he mods it
00:40 Krfawy: you're talking to Krfawy who is the best Polish EZ mapper
00:40 Krfawy: XD
00:41 Krfawy: well
00:41 AndreasHD: :D
00:41 Krfawy: I doubt you or Kyubey are able to actually make it with easy diffs, sorry for being blunt :v
00:41 AndreasHD: yeah, well, that's why I want to speak to him about it
00:41 AndreasHD: hahah
00:41 Krfawy: but it's usual for high rank people to be not able to make very EASY stuff XD
00:41 AndreasHD: hard to map easy for me.. since I never play it
00:42 Krfawy: ^this
00:42 AndreasHD: mhm
00:42 Krfawy: I am a no-mod NM/EZ player
00:42 Krfawy: so
00:42 Krfawy: XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
00:42 AndreasHD: haha, but you can mod easy only if you want to
00:44 *Krfawy is editing [http://osu.ppy.sh/b/547814 Savant - Melody Circus [2-bit]]
00:44 Krfawy: 02:05:550 (1) - this actually flows kinda meeeeh
00:44 Krfawy: is there any possibility to make 02:05:550 (1,2) - this lower? :v
00:44 Krfawy: [https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/4152478 like this maybe xD]
00:46 AndreasHD: yea I guess
00:46 Krfawy: 02:16:061 (1,3) - this is okay but I just suggest you to avoid such constructions in next maps in Normals and Easies :v
00:46 AndreasHD: it has bubble though, so if I upload new, it will pop xD
00:46 Krfawy: because it might be a problem for noobs XD
00:46 Krfawy: well
00:46 AndreasHD: oh okay! :)
00:46 Krfawy: you can always ask the bubbler for a rebubble XD
00:47 AndreasHD: yea
00:47 *Krfawy is editing [http://osu.ppy.sh/b/547082 Savant - Melody Circus [4-bit]]
00:48 Krfawy: 00:28:908 (5) - for your information, this kind of thing is not really a part of wise-mapping if you ask me xD
00:48 Krfawy: let me ask you if you can see any difference if you 00:28:762 (4,5) - CTRL + G this moment
00:48 Krfawy: or if you use three circles here
00:48 AndreasHD: why not? it looks great
00:49 AndreasHD: well, it's only 4 bit
00:49 Krfawy: ofc the design is noic
00:50 Krfawy: oh wait you don't get what I mean
00:50 AndreasHD: you want me to put a note here? 00:28:616
00:51 AndreasHD: then it feels 8-bit xD
00:51 Krfawy: I mean
00:51 Krfawy: [https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/4152500 something like this XD]
00:51 Krfawy: so the first note is the slider
00:51 Krfawy: and then a circle
00:51 Krfawy: because now it is hard to follow it D:
00:51 AndreasHD: aaah
00:51 AndreasHD: yeah, great idea, thanks
00:52 AndreasHD: two year old map ;_; rip me
00:53 Krfawy: Jesus
00:53 *Krfawy is editing [http://osu.ppy.sh/b/275259 Savant - Melody Circus [8-bit]]
00:53 Krfawy: 01:35:769 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3,1) - this pattern XD
00:53 Krfawy: I think someone would find it as a difficulty spike
00:54 Krfawy: even if there are jumps and streams
00:54 Krfawy: but those triples are hard AF :VVVVVVVV
00:54 AndreasHD: easy peasy ;)
00:54 Krfawy: however, I am easy maker so I advise you to ask Kyu about it \o/
00:54 Krfawy: he will know better than me
00:54 Krfawy: XD
00:54 AndreasHD: I can do it 100% with mouse, and I suck at mouse really
00:54 AndreasHD: yeah okay! :)
00:55 Krfawy: I suck at playing osu in general
00:55 Krfawy: so
00:55 Krfawy: XD
00:55 AndreasHD: hahah
00:55 AndreasHD: I think the spike is the stream
00:55 Krfawy: aaaand 02:17:813 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3) - ask him about this one as well
00:55 AndreasHD: I will
00:55 Krfawy: hmm 02:08:178 (1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - I am not sure if it is a spike
00:56 Krfawy: MAYBE it is but they aren't hard to read really
00:56 Krfawy: okay so I think it's all from me

Thanks for mod!.

here is what I changed:
1-bit AR from 2 -> 3 I just feel ar 4 is too much, correct me if Im wrong on this!!

2-bit AR from 5 -> 6
02:05:550 (1,2) - Dropped these a few grids as you wanned me to.
00:28:324 (3,4,5) - Fixed this part
Kyubey
Rebubbled.
SPOILER
14:32 AndreasHD: oh, yeah, sounds great ^^
14:32 *Kyubey is editing [https://osu.ppy.sh/b/547827 Savant - Melody Circus [1-bit]]
14:33 AndreasHD: actually, it's even better
14:33 AndreasHD: ^:D
14:33 Kyubey: 00:48:470 (1) - can you move it right? it overlaps with scoreboard and it's pretty uncomfortable to see while playing
14:33 Kyubey: 01:05:988 (1) - and this
14:33 AndreasHD: what diff?
14:33 Kyubey: i np'd it
14:34 Kyubey: 1-bit
14:34 AndreasHD: oh, sorry, didn't see 1-bit :p
14:34 Kyubey: 01:11:682 (5) - can you move it up a little since it almost touches the screen border?
14:34 Kyubey: 01:20:003 (1) - scoreboard again
14:35 AndreasHD: huh? that should't matter?
14:35 AndreasHD: just like the hp-bar
14:35 Kyubey: but it's pretty uncomfortable for player
14:35 AndreasHD: you can always press tab
14:35 AndreasHD: but yeah, sure I guess I can move it a bit
14:35 Kyubey: beginners don't always know about tab
14:36 AndreasHD: true ^^
14:36 AndreasHD: eh
14:36 AndreasHD: its not place to move it to
14:36 AndreasHD: I don't want to overlap 4
14:36 AndreasHD: 00:47:156 (4) -
14:36 AndreasHD: that one
14:37 AndreasHD: since it's 1-bit
14:37 AndreasHD: and I'll have to move it quite a bit don't I?
14:37 Kyubey: 00:44:091 (4,1,2,3,4,5) - you can move this whole thing a little right to avoid overlap with that thing
14:37 AndreasHD: alright will do
14:39 AndreasHD: done
14:39 AndreasHD: not sure if its enough tho
14:39 *Kyubey is editing [https://osu.ppy.sh/b/547814 Savant - Melody Circus [2-bit]]
14:40 Kyubey: 01:07:740 (3) - can you move it up a little? it almost touches the screen border too
14:40 AndreasHD: ok
14:40 AndreasHD: done
14:48 AndreasHD: btw, in 4-bit, is this ok? 01:35:769 (1,2,1,2,3,4,1) -
14:49 Kyubey: yes
14:49 AndreasHD: Krfawy wanned me to ask you about that
14:49 AndreasHD: ok
14:49 Kyubey: it's a hard difficulty so that thing looks ok for it
14:49 AndreasHD: yeah okay
14:50 Kyubey: thats all
14:50 Kyubey: update
14:50 AndreasHD: also
14:50 AndreasHD: this 01:35:769 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3,1) -
14:50 Kyubey: in 8bit?
14:51 AndreasHD: he wanned me to ask you if thats ok aswell, but I guess it is
14:51 AndreasHD: 8 bit yes
14:51 Kyubey: fine for me
14:51 AndreasHD: alright! :)
14:51 AndreasHD: supposed to be difficult so..
14:51 AndreasHD: Uploading ~~
14:51 Kyubey: players can handle it i'm sure
14:52 AndreasHD: yep ;)
14:52 AndreasHD: I can with mouse, lol.. I suck at mouse
14:52 Kyubey: did you change something in 8bit?
14:52 AndreasHD: now? no
14:52 Kyubey: it asked me for update
14:52 AndreasHD: try again now
14:53 Kyubey: well i updated
14:53 Kyubey: but w/e
14:54 AndreasHD: ?
14:54 Kyubey: whatever
14:54 *Kyubey is editing [https://osu.ppy.sh/b/547827 Savant - Melody Circus [1-bit]]
14:54 Kyubey: 01:11:682 (5) - did you forget to move it up a little?
14:55 AndreasHD: did you ask for that?
14:55 Kyubey: yes
14:55 AndreasHD: Oh I forgot this 01:20:003 (1) -
14:55 AndreasHD: sorry
14:55 Kyubey: 01:05:988 (1) - probably this too. or not?
14:57 AndreasHD: give me a sec
14:59 AndreasHD: 01:05:988 (1) - nah
14:59 AndreasHD: it's fine
14:59 AndreasHD: fixed this aswell 01:11:682 (5) -
