Here's the situation:
a mapper maps a map and uploads it with one difficulty
you download this map
some time later, the mapper adds a new difficulty to the map
then you go to spectate somebody who plays the new difficulty
...and it says map missing...
having to go to the site and grab the .osu manually
then finding the map folders in songs which takes like forever
then throwing the .osu in there
then exiting spectator
then hitting F5 and waiting for magic to happen
then going back to spectator
all of this feels unnecessarily long and frustrating. Why can't osu just detect if you already have the map ID for the map you're trying to spectate and realize that it's just missing an .osu file and download it automatically just like when you come to spectate somebody who has a map you don't have at all?
