Problem details: I don't know how to backup osu! lazer XD

Video or screenshot showing the problem:

osu1 version: lazer (latest)

By default lazer's data is stored in C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Roaming\osu. The actual application is stored in C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Local\osulazer. Saving those two directories is probably a start, though I have no idea how well restoring them will work.

It should be in ~/.local/share/osu/files based on this wiki page

You should be able to save the files/folders in something like Google Drive, iCloud, or any service for storing files. From what I know if you have those folders in the correct spot if you download osu!lazer it should identify the folders and should not have a "first-time setup" screen. I'm on the Linux distro Ubuntu 22.04 and I suspect you are on Windows 10/11 so I might not be right. (BTW I am talking to the person I quoted and the conversation starter)

P.S. Happy holidays! :)

Yesterday, I had to reinstall my entire ubuntu system. Fortunately, I had a backup of my osu!lazer directory (/home/[username]/.local/share/osu). After reinstalling Ubuntu, I simply copied it back, and everything worked smoothly: my beatmaps, replays, scores and skins were all successfully restored.

All that to say I think backing up this directory is a good idea.

(not sure since it worked for me doesn't mean it will work for others)
