I have always wondered why adding a timing point to change the BPM would change the beat snap divisors.
So I had the idea for an option which you check for this to not happen.
That is, if I put a timing point on a red tick and check that option, it would stay as a red tick.

And if you use 1/4 (for example) and place a timing point where is no tick then that point will be unsnapped. I don't want this. Also I don't think there is a problem with the current system. Just get used to it.

I know this is really unnecessary, the current behavior is good - and I'm not asking for a replacement to it; I just want the timeline to be accurate with the track I'm mapping.
Also, there are various reasons for unsnapped points, it could be like that in the track, bad conversions, bad timing, etc
The first thing you should do after finding an unsnapped beat is to check all the previous timing section - not simply add another line there - and check your audio file as well.

So yes, this wouldn't work for unsnapped points and I AM used to how it works currently - I have mapped/timed over 100 tracks.
This is just for timeline accuracy.

Sounds interesting.

This would only be used in very rare cases, and I mean technically you will end up being on the main beat again if you use enough red timing sections lol. Honestly, I don't think it matters that much, nor is it that necessary to put in.

Well, I have nothing against it, but I just don't feel strongly supportive of it either.

even if the point is unsnapped (1) BAT's and other modders can point it out, and (2) it wouldn't matter because what this non main-beat red line does is just slow or increase the tempo. It doesn't matter whether it's on a beat or not, the tick division will have to be spread out or closer together depending on the BPM. Honestly, I don't think this is the problem if this request was ever implemented.

Rather, I just don't even see the necessity of putting this in, that's just my take on it though. But as I said, I don't really any downside to adding.
