Depends on where your skill level is and what you are trying to learn. For me when I was around high 4 star low 5 star I played these maps to learn how to see streams beatmapsets/1066593#taiko/2233260 https://osu.ppy.sh/beatmapsets/1222538#taiko/2542872.

The taiko beginner guide used to have good maps in them for learning, but its from 8 years ago so most of the songs don't exist anymore but you can still check it out. community/forums/topics/175867.

Some of the maps you are playing are for the wrong game mode.

The maps for Standard mode (circle-clicking mode) get automatically converted to Taiko mode when you set osu! on Taiko game mode but they aren't really meant to be played in Taiko, I'm sure you noticed some of them have only single colors or extremely fast circles impossible to see.

Sort the maps by Game Mode and Difficulty to see Taiko maps that actually help you improve:

Since you can already pass maps like that Airman one, I'd recommend to check this map out: Bad Apple!! (REDALiCE Remix)

If you cannot see the circles or if you don't understand the patterns, try again with Half-time mod. Eventually you'll get used to it and it will become easier to play no-mod.

I don't know what is your play-style and keybind choice. If you haven't found a comfortable style yet, I highly recommend to play with KDDK default drum (ex: using ZXCV keys) and full-alternate style. If you aren't familiar with style types, just watch osu play a Taiko map with Autoplay and look at the drum, that's the most efficient playstyle. Most people don't play like that obviously, everybody has their own little habits and stuff but you get the idea.

Tip: don't use Hardrock... ever. It trucks up your perception of patterns and it kills your retinas.

I use KDDK as my playstyle (with buttons D, F, J & K in that order), I have tried the map i guess (scores/taiko/165079756)
(also I am currently tired af so I can't see anything)

I will play at least 10 more attempts of it later to practice.

Now I see why you aren't getting any better mate, you're doing the same mistakes I was doing back in the days. I know that if you're coming from osu Standard you'd find easier to singletap instead of alternating but that's not gonna go anywhere, after the nth wrist inflammation you're gonna realize that too.

Forget all you learned about Taiko until now, completely. Watch Autoplay to see what full-alt is like (or you can watch my shamefuru replay here). Full-alt has to be played with all 4 fingers and you've to alternate between hands for every circle, that's why it's the most efficient playstyle.

By the way, the big circles (aka Finishers) give double points if you use both buttons of the same color on them, you can't see the extra points during play because it's calculated at the end of the map. If you compare the score of replays where you hit with them 1 button or with 2 buttons you'll see the difference.

I swear Half-time mod helps a lot. I've been using your same playstyle for a long time but I hit the wall. Unless you plan to play muzukashii diff forever, that style won't help you much. I mean, you can definitely still improve with that but getting a FC on any 4* Oni map will be almost impossible. There's much more than just triplets.

Take your time, you started playing taiko just 4 days ago?! as long as you practice full-alt you'll keep improving, I'm sure you'll surpass me in no time, I was stubborn and lazy for more than a year and it backfired a lot, I've to rewire my brain to get used to full-alt now.

Do you think it is possible to be able to play both alternating and singletapping well? (I don't want to always play 2 stars for like a month or 2)

Depends what you set as target. Unless you got a cyborg's hand, singletapping will never get you to 5* and the maps you can FC with singletap in the 4* range can be counted in one hand or two at most and they're just glorified muzukashii or fast muzukashii, the patterns you already know. Even to FC those maps you have to go through a lot of useless stress and pain (wrist inflammation).

If you plan to play in tournaments (or even in the world cup), you will never get far against others in the 4 digits ranks because most of them are already full-alternating or index alternating, forget the 3 digits.

That's it for singletapping. If you manage to get good at full-alternating then the potential is infinite, as long as your keyboard is good you will never stop improving, players in the top 100 ranks alternate in a way or another (either index alt or full-alt).
