Message when a friend connects to osu!

Basically it is that each time a user "x" connect to osu, get some kind of message to alert you to connect. It would be a convenient if you are afk and wait for a single user to log in (It is annoying to be aware when are doing something else and you have to be looking osu window to see if anyone was connected or not) You could put your friends nicknames such as when you put the "Chat highlight words" or "Chat ignore list".

Eh, no. o.o This will be annoying when you have over 50 friends and osu! is go offline even if it just to you. you will get like 50 msg. Too many spams.

EDIT: Oh, and if one of your friend go offline, due his/her internet connection, then re-log, you will also get a message.

It would be helpful if chat notifications were saved and stored on a separate history tab. You can then check whether your friend has logged on even after the notification has faded.

I do not mean all the friends,
I refer only to some friends who will be in a "list"

No, no. I think the OP means that you could have a list of users/friends that will notify you via flashing/pinging whenever someone in the list is online.

The thing with our current notifications is that they fade too quickly, but with OP's suggestions, friend logins are logged in a similar manner to the Userlog.

That isn't the only problem. The OP said that they would like to be able to know when a certain friend logs in after returning from being AFK. Also, increasing the length would be horrible if you have notifications enabled in play mode.

I would like to see a friends list with groups to categorize friends. Then you could simply categorize the friends that you want to be notified about in a category, and put it at the top of the list. That would make checking if someone is online very simple, as you'd only have to press a single button to show/hide the list.

I like this idea. Maybe just make BanchoBot send you a message with "user X is now online" or so.
