My idea is to add a button in settings that disables mods changing the star rating of the map. So for example, when putting DT on a 4* map it'll change the star rating up to around 6* normally. This means that for the players who sort their beatmaps by difficulty, 4* maps will appear under the 6* category. This is annoying because every map scales up differently, so two maps that are both rated 4* could end up being 6.5* and 7.5*. With my idea implemented, 4* maps will always remain in their original assortment, regardless of what mods the user has enabled. This way, if a player wants to play 4* maps with DT, they can just click the 4* tab and not have to worry about finding their desired map in the now skewed system.
This would also make it easier to toggle mods on and off, as doing that currently requires that the player either start and exit a map or go to the main menu and back into the song selection before their maps are properly assorted again.
