yes, i’ll be taking a break for a while, mainly due to boredom and feeling if i keep pushing myself i’m going to get burnt out
i know i definitely haven’t hit my skill cap yet, but i just don’t feel like continuing to play just because of that reason

Most likely you'll lose 4 digits within that time, yes. However, don't get too held up by "maintaining rank", because the break will definitely be more worth it. Once you're at 4 digits, getting back into it and climbing even higher isn't that bad, so even if you do dip back into 5 digit, you'll be back in no time. Good luck on your break!
