you have to map different versions for each difficulty. there's no switch or anything to boost or lower difficulty
The only thing that matters the most in SR is spacing and rhythm density, but first and foremost, map diffs that plays or feels like their respective difficulty, that way you can work up and control the SR easier in the long run.
