Problem details: My laptop runs on dual GPU cards, with integrated graphics card and dedicated graphics card from NVIDIA. I tried from the solutions I have found so far on other osu! posts:
- Running the game on iGPU
- Making sure that Compatibility Mode is not on
- Capped the FPS to only run at 480fps, since I find most comfortable playing with 2.2ms.

After trying those 3 solutions, I still cannot get the game to run consistently at 480fps with iGPU. It can only run at somewhere around 360fps while playing, which is equivalent to 3.0ms, and it fluctuates as well. At only break time during the songs, it can get up to 480fps, but that is about it. All of my integrated and dedicated graphic cards drivers are up-to-date.

Please help me out! Thank you.

In this image, I was playing with RX mod on a 7* map. You can see how it gets down to 354fps.

Faced the same problem yesterday with my new laptop. I googled around and applied those solutions:
  1. Installed a fresh and latest nvidia driver
  2. Made sure power saving mode in Windows, ingame and nvidia drivers are turned off
  3. Double check ingame graphics settings:
  4. Terminated all unnecessary programs
yet my gameplay still softlocked at 6.0ms.

Feel free to try those out though and let me know your results.

Thank you for your response.

I reinstalled my NVIDIA drivers this morning, reconfigured the settings that I put for osu!, to set it to run on integrated graphics card.
I have checked the power settings on Windows to be set on high performance, in-game to have capped FPS at 480fps, with full screen and rendered at native resolution. In NVIDIA Control Panel I have also set the power management mode to "Prefer maximum performance" for the game.
I have no other background apps running during the time I play the game.

Yet, I still get inconsistent FPS while playing the game on integrated graphics. Are there any other settings that I may not have looked upon here? Please let me know as soon as possible.

I just found and went through every settings in this article.

Somehow things just clicked and the frame limit was removed. Gameplay was consistent in 1.6ms with Unlimited.

Not just osu, other games also had their fps lock removed.

My guess is that the problem lies in vsync settings.

Hope this helps.

I have tried with the settings in the article you gave me above. For preferred graphic processor settings in NVIDIA Control Panel, with integrated graphics set for osu! to run with, the game will have inconsistent FPS and frametime. With High performance graphic card for osu! to run in NVIDIA Control Panel, the game will be more stable at capped 480FPS that I manually set, or in Unlimited, but the mouse movement while I play in game feels kind of late, and the frametime fluctuates from 2.2ms to 3.0ms. All of this are tested to run on my laptop's monitor.

For now, I am resorting to running the game on an external monitor with less refresh rate and base resolution (60Hz with 1600x900 display), compared to my laptop's monitor (120Hz with 1920x1080 display) and the game runs stable on the 2nd monitor, because it can use the NVIDIA graphic card fully. Still, I feel disappointed that I cannot run the game on my laptop's monitor as stable as on my external monitor, due to how NVIDIA Optimus treats to an OpenGL game like osu!.

I do not have any FPS lock on other games apart from osu!, and I have also made sure that VSync has been off when running the game.

Out of curiosity, how does the game performance if you enable auto mod and just sit still and watch it? Any better? or still shit?

I watched the game in auto mode while running it with integrated graphic. The FPS is still inconsistent compared to how I run the game with dedicated NVIDIA graphic card. It is safe to say, the game runs worse on my integrated graphic card.
