hi, I am a Linux user (insert obligatory I use arch BTW) who recently got into osu! (about a week ago) and have been enjoying the game ever since.
while I have been improving and getting good with a mouse I do eventually plan on switching away and when that time comes I hope to be able to make that switch then and there.
in order to do this I need to know what tablets the community recommends, there are however a couple challenges.
my requirements are:
[ol]
[li]It needs to have Linux support (not all company's and series have it)[/li]
[li]It needs to be good for playing osu![/li]
[li]If possible I'd like to keep the price as low as I can, while this is not as important it's just that I don't have an infinite amount of cash prepared to throw at this[/li]
[/ol]
also, from my research I noted that not all Wacom tablets have native Linux support.
One major chink in the Wacom armour is that they do not support the use of Linux out of the box. It does seem incredible to me, that a company with such a massive lead in this industry would ignore the Linux users, possibly a large chunk of their market.
However, they are helping an open source development of linux drivers for a selection of Wacom tablets – so they are not all evil after all.
I don't know how this still holds up so I thought to verify this with the holy text of Linux and from this exerpt
Wacom does not officially support Linux. Linux support is provided by the Linux Wacom Project.
tells me not much has changed.
If you use or know a good tablet and don't use Linux make sure to check this table first.
Thanks in advance, Scraft161
