Hey ! I decided to start playing osu!mania because I wanna take a break from paiko :w:. Already played a bit (10hrs) on quaver. Does someone have any useful tips about mania in general ?

Find a good, readable skin, adjust your scroll speed to something comfortable (not too fast not too slow, but probably as fast as you can read with good acc), and just keep playing. Most of the tips about improvement you probably already know from playing taiko, but in case you need that, there are plenty of other threads around here that can help you out.
You might also consider playing different keymodes since you are still in the learning phase. Most people will tell you that starting with a higher key mode like 7k is beneficial because it improves your skills at the same rate as 4k, but with the added bonus of also being able to do 7k maps. Though, do whatever you find most fun, and don't force yourself to play other keys if you really just want to play 4k.
Also, even though they're not very fun at first, don't neglect LN maps, tech maps, and any other skillset that you're bad at. A lot of people skip out on LN maps and regret it later on (like me), because then you aren't able to play a lot of higher level songs that you might want to.
Other than that, have fun and welcome to mania!
