Does this happen at random times? Are sliders on screen when the circles flash up? What kind of sound card do you have? Also, how many circles appear usually, and which parts of them (do they still have an approach circle, or is it just the body and number?).
Yes, this is happening at random times. I can't remember if a slider was onscreen or not, but I think so. Usually 2 or three circles appear, it is only body and number, no timer circle. I have a Realtek High Defenition audio sound card.
I am *thinking* this is a texture corruption issue with the current slider drawing code - apart from this I can't think why/how it could happen. This is planned for a revamp this Saturday.
Of course - if they are only flashing very briefly, then this is not the case. Exactly how long do they remain on screen? Please report back if you have this happening again - and just make not of whether a slider was on-screen when it happened .
For a bit more on the technical details - if you are seeing circles for earlier in the song, it means that the audio clock is flying backwards for some reason. This clock is handled by the audio library I use, so it could be that your sound card/ sound card drivers aren't playing too nice. Might be a good idea to check for updates to these - just in case!

I've had this happen to but for me it only happens in edit mode, when sliders are on the screen, at random times and only in the newest build. If that helps at all
EDIT: Also it is only on the screen for what I would figure to be 1 frame, maybe 2.
