bro, i tried it, it's hard and it gets boring really quickly, I read one once and I couldn't finish it because it's just really boring, how do people do these, I asked my sister (she likes to read really thick books) and she just said "just read it its not that hard" like, I can't its just weird that people can do these

You just need to find the right genre
I usually hate reading normal book but I read alot of light novels (Mostly chinese) and webnovels

When I read novels/fictions I would try creating an image of the surroundings of the scene and follow character’s actions, when you immerse yourself it’s easy to finish a bunch of texts

I'm just curious, have you tried watching the anime and then moved onto the LNs afterwards?

I've heard about 86 previously before it aired, I didn't bother to read the LN at the time. After watching the first cour, I was really interested in the story and went ahead and started reading the LN. Suffice to say, I am really enjoying it and it changed my opinions of 86 as a whole.

Hope this helps. I've also had this work for shows like Mushoku Tensei as well~

Just finished Arifureta vol 6 after the manga and I couldn't bring myself to the next one, idk but it isn't my cup of tea
On the other hand, I could finish Konosuba series with no much trouble and it was really enjoyable

There's no surprise for people to find it hard or boring to read novels for the first time because of how the authors describe their story very different and beyond our minds that we possibly can never think of.

Why not read something simple but descriptive, making your mind functions a bit to catch up. You can grab a dictionary when stumble upon a word that you never encountered before - who knows you can make your teachers dazzle with your outstanding use of words.

Back to the topic, reading novels or anything contains letters are really great - not just understanding the story or situation, but also sharing your ideas when it comes to writing or learning new languages unintentionally. It opens us the creative mind of thinking, expanding our thoughts and opinions to a better view. Not only that, it helps us to improve our vocabulary and train us to read more each day without the need to complain, whether if it's a reference book, an article or even the news on the television.

Find the bright side, I'm sure you can read and finish the novel you picked.
