Is there any other trick besides playing more? I can't seem to be able to hit rainbow 300's consistently, my accuracy on maps right now is about 90-95% but I'd like to try and go for 98-99%

If your average accuracy for maps is 90-95%, you aren't ready to acc them yet. Play easier maps. Fix your offset. Also read this if you haven't yet.
play firmly within your comfort zone for a while (at least a star rating below what what youre getting 90%s on) and focus on learning the patterns that trip you up and make you break combo or get a lot of <300 hits. Over time you'll build a better sense of control when you play charts you're comfortable on and higher accuracy comes with it.
play easy maps and pay particular attention to the song's rhythm and your keytaps. have a focal point, and use the same platstyle on easy maps as you would for harder maps
