look, everyone wont have admin rights to school electronics. but i thought mapping tools woudnt need admin rights because it said "portable" but it requires dotnet which requires admin rights, how do i get over this?

I mean it has to be able to change files other than itself on your pc to be able to edit a .osu file so I guess not. Dont really know much about how windows' admin privileges works though so I could be wrong.

when I used slider tumor generator it edits the .osu file but without needing to have admin privileges, so i think you're wrong.

edit: slider tumor generator does not use dotnet

edit edit: mapping tools uses dotnet which requires admin rights but not the app itself, but i need help with installing dotnet without admin privileges.

You can't install anything without admin privileges

This might help: https://github.com/dotnet/core/issues/2183

The dotnet core runtime can be downloaded portable. You should be able to just drag and drop the "Mapping Tools.dll" onto the "dotnet.exe" file to run it.
