should probably note that you play mania, because this is a horrible idea for STD lmao.

also why did you use 1/7 as an example? its pretty rare for a song to have that, stuff is usually snapped to either even snaps or multiples of 3

notes per minute difficulty rating is just as useless of a difficulty metric as star rating is and its bad for pretty much the same reason. the amount of times you have to push buttons in a given frame of time only really speaks to the average density. density != difficulty. If you really want a decent rating of difficulty, you cant ignore the patterns themselves.
