How do I improve more? I seem to just stop improving.

I've been playing mania for about more than 4 months now, and I have been pretty content with how far I've gotten, since I now finally have a hobby, lol.

the issue is, pretty recently i've been getting frustrated by how little i've been improving, ever since march, and I did kind of quit playing for a few weeks.
Eventually, I got back to playing it again because I know I can't just not play it entirely and expect to get better, and I did get back to where I was originally playing as, but I just wasn't as good and I did go on reddit for advice, however all I got was, "practice more, get better keyboards, change your scrollspeed".

I did try changing my scrollspeed but that just yielded in me getting more frustrated and not being able to read notes at all, and practicing more everyday just makes my head and fingers hurt with disappointment. Is there any actually helpful tips or advice anyone could give? I know I sound petty for asking more help when right now, I should be practicing. I use 21 scroll speed, the 108joker blue circle skin and a laptop keyboard for playing. and no, i can't afford a pc or any better keyboard.
I play at 3* , max 3.13, already tried attempted at trying harder maps.

not improving could mean you're still improving, and it could even mean you're improving faster than you used to. however, this game gets exponentially harder the more you play it, so this improvement speed might feel slow to you now.

i reccomend not focusing on improving and just trying to enjoy the game. its difficult to improve if you're playing just to improve and not for enjoying the game.

also, play a variety of maps, and practice your weakest skillsets. if you're bad at acc, train your acc, etc.

any questions just ask :)

At higher levels of the game progress gets slower and slower, if you're patient enough with the game you'll see the improvement going in even if it takes months as opposed to days to see it

I'm probably beating a dead horse by now, but you will have plateau periods. Idk how many times I've been stuck in a similar situation - even as far as not improving for up to 2 months of active play. It sucks, but that's just how it goes. Even if you're not setting PBs, you can still practice skillsets and just play what you want to play. I remember trying to get high acc scores on lower star maps during that time and still having a lot of fun while still improving, so do whatever you feel like!

Sometimes we all just get this feeling of not improving, you only improve by playing more and thus, spending more time in the game. Trust me, you will never stop improving as long as you don't stop playing the game. I've been improving a lot after a long break so yeah, take breaks as well!
