unorthodox pattern, counter-intuitive to play
can mean both technically accurate, as in following the song and its sounds accurately, and can also mean awkward or uncommon patterning
they're two different things but they can go together

pretty much just weird unorthodox patterns, sometimes mapped with highly variable snapping, or just something that matches the song extremely well
