Format:

The SV: Summer Exhibition is an
- osu!mania 4k
- 1v1
- Double Elimination
- Seeded Bracket
- Score V2
Tournament where all of the maps are SV charts

This tournament will run from when registration opens (May 3rd) to the end of Grand Finals (July 17th)
Qualifiers start on May 22nd and will take only the top 64 scoring players into Round of 64 competition, if there are not 64 entrants then only the top 32 scoring players will enter into competition and the tournament will then run one week shorter.

Schedule:

Registration Period: May 3rd to May 15th
Screening: May 15th to May 22nd
Qualifiers: May 29th to May 30th
Round of 64: June 5th to June 6th
Round of 32: June 12th to June 13th
Round of 16: June 19th to June 20th
Quarter Finals: June 26th to June 27th
Semi Finals: July 3rd to July 4th
Finals: July 10th to July 11th
Grand Finals: July 17th to July 18th

If there are not 64 entrants then Round of 64 will not happen and every round will be pushed back a week, this would mean that Grand Finals would fall from July 10th to July 11th.

Rules and Pool Info:

This tournament is Not Rank Restricted, players of any rank are allowed to enter as long as they have not violated osu! guidelines in the past 6 months. Screening will be ran at the staffs discretion, this tournament is not badged.

The tournament will run off of a ban system, there will be no protecting. There will be one ban per match. The players will roll at the beginning of the match and the highest roll will choose whether they want to pick first and ban second or ban first and pick second.

Players will also each get to choose a warmup of 4 minutes or less with no Star Rating limit before the match starts.

The pools will be ran as follows:

  1. Every pool will have 10 charts and a tiebreaker and every match will be a Best of 7 (First to 4 points). This means that there will be enough charts for there to be two bans and for last pick to get a choice between 3 different charts not including tiebreaker.
  2. The pools will slowly increase in difficulty from Ro64 (or Ro32 if there aren't 64 entrants) all the way to Finals.
  3. The maps will be separated by categories (Reading, Memorization, Hybrid). We as Mappers and Poolers will try our best to fully encapsulate all of these categories to give all players an equal playing ground despite specific talents within the umbrella that is SV.
  4. Our mapping and pooling staff are working our hardest to provide custom mapped charts for this tournament but seeing that we are looking at possibly having more than 60 maps in this tournament we will be mixing custom mapped charts with premade charts. It is very possible that some charts might be more popular than others and have been played by competitors in the tournament, this is something that our staff is trying our hardest to mitigate but it is still likely to occur.
Qualifiers: 4 maps that will test your SV skills ranging from early to late, reading to memorization, and also testing accuracy in each category. The players will get a week from when the pool is revealed and available for download to practice. Each player will join their respective lobbies and play through all 4 maps back to back and they will have 2 chances at each map. We will use each players scores from this round to put all of those that place in the top 64 into their seeds which will determine who they face in the elimination rounds.

Round of 64: This will be the first round where seeding will come into play, pairings will be 64th seed against 1st seed, 63rd seed against 2nd seed, etc. The pool will consist of 10 charts and a tiebreaker and will be first to 4 points aka Bo7. If the tournament does not receive 64 entrants this Ro64 will not happen and we will head straight to round of 32 from qualifiers.

Round of 32, Round of 16, Quarter Finals, Semi Finals: These rounds will all play similarly with there being 10 charts and a tiebreaker, first to 4 points, aka Bo7. The losers bracket of each week will play the same pool as the winners bracket in their losers bracket matches that occur on the same week.

Finals: This pool will be a first to 4 points, aka Bo7. It will consist of 10 charts and 1 tiebreaker. Because of the nature of double elimination brackets this round will have 4 players, two facing in winner's bracket and two facing in loser's bracket. The loser of the winner's bracket match and the winner of the loser's bracket match will then face again with the same pool to decide who faces the winner of the winner's bracket match in Grand Finals.

Grand Finals: The last pool will be a first to 4 points, aka Bo7. This means that the pool will consist of 10 maps and 1 tiebreaker. Finals will be fought between the winner of the winner's bracket and the winner of the loser's bracket. If the loser's bracket player wins in the first round of Finals then the bracket will then "reset" meaning that another first to 4 will be played (including possibility of a tiebreaker) to determine the champion. Think of this as the winner's bracket player having "two lives."

The champion of grand finals will receive the first place prize, the loser of grand finals will receive second place, and third place will go to the player who lost the second loser's bracket match in Finals.
