A subtle timeline somewhere right next to the "User in the lead" box where you could see who has had the #1, for how long and when.

I haven't got much of a suggestion to how it would look like, so please contribute with ideas to this request! Remake my examples if you want.
but here's what I had in mind:
  1. A collapsible list which would show exactly which user got the #1, when and for how long
    Example:
    #1 timeline
    theowest achieved #1 - February 12, 2010
    Saten achieved #1 - February 13, 2011
    MillhioreF achieved #1 - May 15, 2012
    RBRat3 achieved #1 - April 1, 2013
This collapsable timeline could probably go on forever, so that the safest bet.
  2. or the same idea above but just as a link to a multiplayer history styled timeline.
  3. or how about this funky concept, in the style of the current pp timeline/playcount timeline:
    SPOILER
terrible, terrible quality. I guess the circles should touch each other more. In the style of the other timelines
I'm thinking you could get a tooltip with the date they achieved it when hovering over their circle.
Rule suggested by Wishy: p/2270808

Again, please contribute with ideas for how this could look like. I think the general idea for a #1 timelink is great.

This would apply to all existing beatmap rankings, especially with all leaderboards if this request gets implemented too.

I would support this if we agreed that this would not apply to the first few days after the map gets ranked. Otherwise this would mean MORE people camping maps to get a top 1 for 5 seconds.

Great idea. The minimum age of #1 ranks for beatmap ranking timelines should be set to one week and to one month for all other leaderboards IMO.

What I actually meant was that the ones who get #1 for 5 seconds on the first day the map got ranked should NOT matter since they are usually not good scores but just the first ones to play it (either that or it's 8 am in KR/JP and they are not online to play it haha).

What I meant was this:

Map gets ranked TODAY, 00:00hs

X gets #1 00:01
Y gets #1 00:20
Z gets #1 01:00
A gets #1 08:00
SnowWhite gets #1 17:00

SnowWhite remains being in the top until 00:00.

Then yoiur graph would only have SnowWhite there. It doesn't matter if your #1 lasts for an year or 1 day or 2 hours, the idea is to avoid map camping. Remember it's quite usual for first #1 on new maps to be just some random B rank play, or NF DT HR FL HD D rank.
