I'm not sure where to post this so I am just going to post it here. How do i get it so that I can play other versions of osu! besides the just falling fruit? I can't figure out how and i can't find anywhere that will tell me how.

On the song-selection screen, it's on the bottom beside 'Back', labeled as 'Mode'. Hit that a you pick the mode you want there.

Alternative method; On song select, hit CTRL+1-4.
