[Archived] Wierd tablet scratch-crack?

Problem details:
My tablet has wierd scratch-crack? on it

So i am a drag player and yesterday while I was playing I felt that the tablet was a bit rougher in a specific spot. I know it is not my area because I have been using this specific one since I started playing. I am afraid that this is a type of crack that cannot be fixed, and in my country it is really difficult to get a tablet cover, meaning I need to change my area or buy a new tablet. Is this permanent?

Edit: My area is much bigger than the damaged spot. PLS HELP

Do you think you could get another picture? We cant really see anything because the light is directly on it.
It kinda just looks like normal ware from using it for so long, happens to anyone who drags directly on their tablet. If there is an actual crack (that we cant see) i doubt theres much you could do yourself sorry :(

I wouldn't worry about this too much as this a result of usage over time if you're a player who drags their pen when playing maps. I have the same kind of imprint on my new tablet I bought 2 months ago and it's still working just fine (for now at least). I also had a past tablet I used for about 2 years and from what I've heard — most Wacom tablets last for a good 4 - 8 years before it's time to buy a new one.

I would only be concerned if the cover starts to crack and show the insides of your tablet, making it more than likely impossible to play with. If you're that worried about any further damage being done, you can try to ask around to see if anyone has any recommendations you can get a tablet cover from to further protect your tablet from future wear and tear, but I can't guarantee everyone you ask will know a definitive answer. You could also try changing the place in which your tablet area is situated if you think the current area you have set is altering your gameplay.

If you do on intend making another forum post asking about tablet covers though, I'd suggest asking in General Discussion or Gameplay & Rankings as there seems to be a couple of users who have gotten some pretty solid answers ^^

they seem just like normal wear and tear from dragging. don't worry about it :0

you don't need to find a specific tablet cover for your tablet though. imo, any type of stickers that can cover your whole tablet surface is good enough. try to find one with a surface suitable for dragging. plain stickers are usually easy to find if you know where to look

Yeah, I may be wrong but that just looks like normal wear from dragging. You may want to consider moving your area somewhere else on your tablet, assuming you keep the dimensions the same it wouldn't take long to get used to.

Here's another photo https://i.imgur.com/cEz7VWp.jpg It looks like a really deep scratch but when I play it covers most of
my tablet area and it is really rough. Will it get smooth again?

I can tell you're really concerned with this, but I assure you this is just wear and tear from being a drag player when playing maps with your tablet.

It's not a crack, it's just an imprint that was left from the area you're using as your tablet area as the nib of the pin is rubbing against the cover of the tablet.

When I rub my fingers over my tablet area, it still feels somewhat smooth with the other areas of my tablet, so are you sure that it might not be your pin nib? It's the little thing that's inside your pen that you can remove and replace as it runs down. There should be at least 3 of these replacement nibs in the back of your tablet once you remove the back cover ^^

If you don't think it's that, you can set a new tablet area away from the current area you're using if you think it's going to affect your gameplay or cause further damage to your tablet, but I want to once again assure you that this is not a crack, it's an imprint left by your tablet's pen nib rubbing across the cover of your tablet for a prolonged amount of time. But like I said earlier:

You might want to change nibs, keeping on using busted nibs will just scrape more material and leave deeper scratches.

tbh it really just looks like normal wear. pretty sure any stickers will fix the rough surface.

and btw does it affect your gameplay to the point that you can't even properly play anymore?
