Haven't seen a thread about my favorite genre of gaming. So, uhm..
IT BEGINS
Here is a list of some notable ones:
Kings Quest Series DOWNLOAD SOME OF EM
The original Clock Tower
The (in my opinon) hillarious Monkey Island Series (ignore the fourth game.)
Sam & Max Hit The Road
Almost all of Telltale's stuff
And I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream.

I know I am missing many great games, but I cannot list all of em', obviously.
My favorite adventure game:

Curse of Monkey Island

WHATS YOURS?
boat
machinarium
Behon
Grim Fandango
The Longest Journey
The Walking Dead

Grim Fandango and Monkey Island 3. I have much nostalgia for them, but I were too young to properly understand what was actually going on. I should replay Monkey Island 3 sometime.

I recently played Grim Fandango again and I have to say everything that game has to offer is amazing, one of the best games of all time IMO. The story, music, voice actors and art/environment makes it timeless. The graphics and gameplay is acceptable to say the least now, but I'm sure it was great for its time.

the white chamber is a pretty good point and click for an indie game (and a fairly modern one to boot)
It's a freeware game, so feel free to give it a try~

I haven't played too many, but here is one of my favourites. I just wish it was a little longer.
