[resolved] osu! shows black screen after changing resolution/skin and going to edit mode

A Mystery
Good day everyone. Recently I started playing osu! again after a hiatus. However, I'm noticing an issue when I attempt to go to the edit mode. Whenever I change my skin, or change my resolution settings (specifically, the resolution when "render at native resolution" is enabled), going to the "edit" option in the menu just shows me a black screen.

Osu! is still fully responsive, I can just escape my way out of there, music plays, etc., but I cannot see anything. If I escape my way back to the main menu, the black screen persists until I alt-tab the game. Doing this fixes the issue (meaning I can go edit again, yey), but alt tabbing while on the edit screen (with the black screen) does not solve the issue. I assume this has something to do with switching to borderless windowed mode (since I'm pretty sure that's what osu! does when you go to edit). Interestingly enough, this only starts happening once I opened the editor once. Just going to edit mode alone after restarting osu! does not have this issue when changing skins, but after going into the editor itself it starts happening. Basically, to reproduce this (for me):

Start osu! -> go to edit, edit a map -> go back to menu -> change skin -> go back to edit -> black screen.

This might not even be osu! related. However, my graphics drivers are up-to-date.

Potentially relevant information: Playing in full screen at 1680x1050 (rendered at 1920x1080, however, whether "render at native resolution" is enabled or not does not matter). I use a multi-monitor setup (3).

I cannot screen record the issue since it'll record the game just fine.

This is a bit annoying because I often change skins when creating or modding beatmaps. Besides that it's just a minor annoyance, so if there's no solution for now, no big deal :).

I searched for "black" and "editor" in a bunch of pages and looked through the confirmed issues, but I apologise if this has already been posted regardless.

osu! version: Stable 20210316 (latest)

Press ctrl+alt+del and then return to Windows, should work.
This an old Nvidia driver bug

That was really quick! Yep, that definitely helps. Good to know it's not osu! related (thanks nvidia).

Thanks for the help.
