Is the black background allowed?

hi, I have a question.
Is the black background allowed?
I use the black background on my pending map(because the song image is monochrome.), and it is mentioned from modders.
Of course, I know that Ranking Criteria says "You must have a background image on every difficulty of your map.".
But, it is not prohibit the black background I think...

and monochrome isn't only black there's also white and gray

Hey,

Hmm, if it actually fits the song and as long as it doesn't blend with any other game element, it should be okay; if you have a good reason to use it, it's not against the rules.

I'd not recommend using it though, many players use black skin elements and this might cause trouble, if the reason your using this "black" background is because it's a monochrome theme, I'm pretty sure you can find something better http://bit.ly/110mXTS

OK, I understand and I will change it. ;)
So, it should be added to Ranking Criteria that the black background is not recommended, I think.

People who use extremely dark or extremely pale combo colours are silly anyway, but black backgrounds are kind of boring anyway--you could add a monochrome background that shows the characteristics of the song.

Actually, as maps have to have a background in order to distinguish them from others, it may go without saying that a totally plain background is not the way to go, for the same reason.
